What is KussKuss?
KussKuss is an online bridal boutique based in Perth, Western Australia. We actively source on-trend designs and beautiful timeless wedding dresses to ensure that we appeal to the needs and styles of a diverse range of brides.
At KussKuss, we understand that organising one of the most memorable days of your life may be a little stressful and overwhelming at times. Rest assured, we are here to make your life as stress-free as possible and we promise to make every effort to deliver the perfect dress for your big day.
I've never tried on a wedding dress before, how do I know what will suit me?
The first thing you should consider is what silhouette works best for you. Have a look at some of your favourite pieces in your wardrobe and see if they have anything in common. If you tend to wear a particular style a lot, it’s probably because it flatters you the most, and you feel good in it. Focus on your personal style and don’t ignore your body shape.
When deciding upon a particular look or style, you may want to take into account the location of your wedding, and even the time of year when your wedding will be taking place. The style of gown that you select may vary depending on whether you are getting married in a church or on a beach.
You should feel beautiful and confident on your wedding day. Listen to your heart and trust your instincts when selecting your gown.
Can I customise or alter any of your designs?
Yes, we offer a variety of customisable options on our ‘Made to Order’ dresses. If, for example, you would prefer to have a zip instead of buttons, a short train instead of a long one, or you would like to combine the bodice and skirt design of two different gowns, please contact us via email at [email protected] to discuss your options. Some alterations may incur an additional cost which you will be advised of before placing an order. If you would like to change anything after you have placed your order, please let us know as soon as possible.
If you would like a completely custom design, please book an appointment to arrange to meet us in person, or contact us via email at [email protected] to discuss a custom ‘Be Mine’ order and we will get back to you within 5 working days with a quote, subject to the availability of specific materials and lead time. We love hearing about your ideas for your perfect wedding gown and we love making dreams come true. It’s a privilege to work with brides to create their perfect wedding dress.
Can I see sample dresses?
We would love to show you our sample dresses! We understand that shopping for a bridal gown online can be quite nerve-wracking. So to put your mind at ease, we offer a home visit service to our Perth brides. You will be able to see the quality our workmanship first hand and try on our sample bridal dresses in the comfort of your own home, maybe even with your best friends and family there by your side. It’s a great opportunity for us to meet face to face; we can listen to your specific requirements and you can get a feel for us so you’ll be more confident before placing an order with us.
There is a fee of $50 for each visit for customers located between 20km and 30km of Perth CBD. A $100 fee will apply to customers located between 30km and 40km of Perth CBD. These fees will be deducted from your purchase when you order a bridal gown (valued at over $1000) with us.

How long does it take to make a dress?
‘Ready to Wear’ dresses take 4-8 weeks (including delivery).
‘Made to Order’ dresses take 8-15 weeks (including delivery).
The timeframe for ‘Be Mine’ dresses will be advised of upon quotation, usually less than 15 weeks.

I would like to buy a ‘Ready to Wear’ dress, which size should I order?

It is important to communicate to us any concerns you may have about your body shape and to choose the best dress for your shape. In the notes section of your order you are required to provide us with your measurements for both;
- shoulder to floor height, and
- shoe height.
We prefer these measurements to be taken in centimeters.
We recommend that you have a professional tailor take your measurements for you. When you measure, wear shoes with a heel height similar to what you plan to wear on your wedding day, and wear a similar bra. If you measure without shoes on, please add your shoe height to your ‘shoulder to floor height’ measurement.
Please use this guide as an indication of shoe height:
- Barefoot or flats we allow 0-2cm
- Small heel we allow 8cm
- Regular heel we allow 10cm
- High heels we allow 13cm
- Platform we allow 15cm
How do I measure myself for ‘Made to Wear’ dresses?
To take your measurements, ensure that the measuring tape is nice and firm against your body. We prefer these measurements to be taken in centimeters.
Step 1 – BUST: To take your bust measurement simply measure the fullest part of your bust. Pull the tape as tight as you can without changing the shape of your breasts. While you are being measured, your arms should be at your side and relaxed.
Step 2 – Waist: Position your hands around your ribcage. Move your hands down your torso where they comfortably rest. The narrowest part is your waist. Typically, this is an inch or so above your belly button and is also known as the natural waistline.
Step 3 – Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, just below your hip bone, which is your bottom. Be sure the tape measure is flat against your body and parallel to the floor.
Step 4 – Height: Measure from the top of the shoulder bone to the floor, it is very important to include your shoe height. Depending on the neckline, certain dresses may have a different start point for your measurements, other than “top of shoulder”, such as Sweetheart and Strapless. In this case, measure the length for the dress by beginning at your upper bust and measuring down to the hem.
What if I fall between sizes?
It’s quite common to have your bust one size, and your waist and hips another size. If you’re ordering ‘Ready to Wear’ separates, this is no problem. However, if you’re ordering a ‘Ready to Wear’ wedding dress you’ll want to order the larger size. In this instance, you will require the services of a professional seamstress or tailor to ensure a perfect fit. Since the dresses in our ‘Made to Order’ and ‘Be Mine’ ranges are made to individual measurements, this won’t be an issue.
My dress is a bit loose/tight
It is very common for brides to lose/gain weight after placing an order, which could affect the dress’ overall look and fit. We have handpicked a few local and experienced alteration services who will be able to assist with your final fitting and/or minor alterations. You can enjoy a 10% discount with a KussKuss dress when you use an alteration service from our list of ‘Service Providers’.
Please note that it is up to the individual business (which is a completely separate business from KussKuss) as to how much they would charge for their services. KussKuss does not receive any commission from recommending their business.
Do you provide alteration or fitting services?
KussKuss does not offer in-house alteration or fitting services. We have handpicked a few local tailors who are very experienced in bridal and wedding dress alterations. Please see our ‘Service Providers’.
Can I return or refund my order?
– Returning goods if they are faulty:
You may be entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You also may be entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
If you believe there is a fault with the goods that you have received, or it is not what you ordered:
- Contact us via email at [email protected].au with your invoice number, photos and a detailed explanation of the fault or issue within 7 days of receiving the item(s).
- If we cannot resolve your concern via email or telephone, we may require you to return the dress or accessory to us so our Quality Control Team can carefully assess the item(s) upon return.
- To be eligible for a replacement, repair or refund, all items must be returned to our Perth office within 14 days of receipt (for Australian brides).
– Returning goods if you change your mind or need a different size:
You can return any ‘Ready-to-Wear’ products within 5 days of receipt for a refund. We will refund the monetary value of the goods returned to us, at the price you purchased them. Please contact us via email at [email protected] for our return address and specific instructions regarding returns. Please allow us 3 working weeks from the date that we received your item(s) to process your refund. We will not exchange the item(s) for a different size or colour. In this instance, you will need to have the original order refunded and you will need to place a new order.
Please note we are unable to provide a refund for any ‘Made-to-Order’ dresses, except in the unlikely case of significant manufacturing faults, as they are made to your measurements. Please consider your purchase carefully before placing an order.
You are responsible for the costs of returning goods to us, except in the unlikely case of significant manufacturing faults. Any goods returned are your responsibility until they reach our designated address. KussKuss is not responsible for goods that are lost or damaged during transport. It is recommended that you purchase insurance for your return parcel. Please ensure you package your return to prevent any damage to the goods and/or boxes. We are not responsible for any goods that are returned to us in error.
Returned items must be in their original condition and and must not have been worn, altered or washed. All tags must remain in place and the items must be returned in their original packaging. For example, bridal dresses are to be returned along with the dust bag and tag. A refund will not be provided if the item is damaged, altered or stained. All goods will be inspected upon return.
All international orders are final sale. Please consider your purchase carefully before placing an international order.
How much does shipping cost? Do I need to pay import duties and taxes?
Delivery costs and GST are included in our prices for Australian customers. If you live outside Australia, please contact us via email at [email protected] before you place an order and we will provide a quote for shipping costs. Fees assessed in customs are based on import, brokerage, duties, and taxes, and are not included in the order amount at checkout. They will be assessed upon delivery by the postal carrier, and must be paid by the order recipient. Please contact your local customs office for more information. When orders that are shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates. KusssKuss is not responsible for any delays caused or incurred by delivery services or international customs clearance processes. Some items may be unavailable for export. Should this affect your order, we’ll contact you with any order changes.
